Websites built and hosted for small businesses

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know about getting your website built and hosted.

How long does it take to build my website?

Most Basic sites launch in about 1–2 weeks, Standard in 2–3 weeks, and Professional in 3–5 weeks. Timing depends on how quickly content (text, photos, logo) is ready.

Is hosting included?

Yes. I set up hosting, your domain connection, and an SSL certificate (the padlock in the browser) for every package. Ongoing hosting and maintenance is available as a monthly add-on.

Do I need to buy a domain name?

If you already own one, I'll connect it to your new site for free. If not, I'll register one for you, in your name, so you always own it. Popular endings (.com, .net, .org, .us) are one flat yearly price, listed under Add-ons. That includes renewals, plus privacy protection that keeps your personal contact info out of public records (every ending except .us allows it). Other endings like .co or .shop vary a lot in price, so I'll quote those up front.

Do I own my website?

Yes. Once your project is paid in full, the website and its content are yours.

Can I update the site myself?

Professional sites include content you can edit yourself. For Basic and Standard, I can make updates for you, or you can add the maintenance plan.

What if I need more than the Professional package?

No problem. Prices are starting points. Tell me what you need and I'll send a custom quote based on the features you want.

How does payment work?

Typically a deposit to start and the balance at launch. Details are confirmed in your quote.
